Review by hotel critic
Nestled at the edge of Altstadt Munich, Altmuenchen By Blattl offers a solid stay, particularly for families like ours. With a central location close to public transport and the vibrant city center, it's convenient for sightseeing and sampling local coffee shops. We traveled with a six-month-old, so the hotel's amenities for babies were invaluable-our baby food was stored and heated on request, and the travel cot was surprisingly clean and comfortable. The rooms strike a fine balance between comfort and practicality. While it lacks air conditioning, a supplied fan kept us cozy through the warm nights. The cleanliness was commendable, and our beds were among the more comfortable we've experienced on our travels. The bathroom design could be better, as the shower space was quite compact. Breakfast had a respectable variety and was quite satisfactory, though a bit on the pricier side. The reception staff were particularly helpful, assisting with local recommendations. Altmuenchen represents a thoughtful blend of value and comfort, making it a worthy choice for those mindful of expenses while not compromising on essential comforts.
